PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF DATE TO MONDAY 11TH DECEMBER (previously arranged for Thursday 16th November).
Venue and arrangements remain…
The Advanced Propulsion Centre, Loughborough University in London, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Stratford, London.
The National Chargepoint Registry, or NCR, is a Government backed database of publicly accessible chargepoints in the UK. The aim is to provide reliable data that can be used, either directly or by third party companies, to improve the experience of electric vehicle motorists in finding and using electric vehicle chargepoints. The data is freely accessible under the Open Government Licence terms.
The NCR has taken on new significance with the recent publication of the Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulations and the Automated and Electric Vehicles Bill, both of which seek to improve the quality of information available to users of ultra-low emission vehicles.
OLEV, in partnership with Cenex and Apetrel Systems, is hosting two workshops on 16th November to seek input from significant stakeholders on the future direction of the NCR:
- The morning session (10.30am-12.30pm) is targeted at data providers, and will look at the mechanisms required to gather data from external sources such as back offices and third-party databases, and consider the data that could be made available to the NCR.
- The afternoon session (1.30pm-3.30pm) is targeted at data users(particularly developers using the data in their applications and products), and will consider data retrieval mechanisms and the formats in which the data should be delivered in addition to the content that would be most desirable.
